Prosthetic Legs Can Now Be Made From 3D-Printed Titanium
Prosthetics are pretty awesome nowadays, not only are they much more widely available now, but you get a far greater choice of design, materials etc. The only problem that still remains is that they're, for the most part, still ridiculously expensive. That's something that designer William Root is trying to fix, William is producing 3D-scanned and printed Exo Prosthetic legs made from titanium.
Not only does 3D printing dramatically reduce costs, and lower build time, but it also gives the recipient a host of options to customize the design of it before it's time to print. To learn more about this pretty cool invention, check out William's Behance page where he talks more about it.
