The Weeknd has announced a new collaboration with Marvel Comics. The singer announced that a new comic titled 'Starboy' is coming soon, with the main protagonist being based on him.
Judging by the cover, which The Weeknd shared on Twitter, it'll be 2018 before we see anything solid. The Weeknd previously stated in an interview that he'd wanted to create a comic of his alter ego, which is also the namesake of his then-new album. It's pretty different to see a singer or rapper take something like this on, so we're looking forward to it!
Here's what the Starboy himself had to say about it: “Starboy is the next chapter in this chronicle, this saga,” the Weeknd said. “I guess this is the fourth chapter. He’s a character that we created. It's so funny, we want to create a comic out of him as well [...] He's a cool, dope character that makes appearances a lot on the album. He's definitely made his appearance in different records in the past as well. He’s a more braggadocious character that we all have inside of us.”
