The new iPhone X has understandably received a lot of attention in the past couple of days, and as with any release of a new iPhone, it's been compared to Android phones everywhere. There's no doubt, as innovative as Apple is as a brand, a lot of what they release has been done before whether it is successful or not.
We've put together a list of things that Android have done before Apple's iPhone X. Let us know what you think about Apple taking these features from various Android phones, justified or not?
1. Bezel-less Screen
Having no bezels on a phone is a feature that was always going to be wanted. Anything that makes a phone more aesthetically pleasing, people will love. You can go back as far as 2014 to when the Sharp Aquos Crystal came out to see an almost bezel-less screen, since then, it's been a fairly common smart phone feature.
2. QI Wireless Charging
Wireless charging has been in demand for years, everything else seems to be going wireless so why shouldn't we be charging our devices wirelessly? It's taken quite long for it to really pick up, however, you can go as far back as 2012 to see it be a feature on the HTC Droid DNA.
3. Facial Recognition
Facial recognition was a feature in last year's release from Samsung with the Galaxy Note 7. One of its main features was that it could scan and recognize your iris, allowing you to unlock the phone.
4. Augmented Reality
Augmented Reality is a technology that has only risen to prominence in the past couple of years. The Lenovo Phab Pro which came out in 2016 was one of the first devices that properly supported AR.
5. Selfie Portrait Mode
Although not one of the more prominent features of the iPhone X, the Selfie Portrait Mode is still not as innovative as you might think, both the Gionee A1 and the Huawei P10 were both released this year and have a Selfie Portrait Mode or similar.
