It goes without saying that New York is one of the most amazing cities ion the planet. From the architecture, to the people and to the world-famous food, New York has a lot to offer. I haven't had the pleasure to see it yet, but I most certainly plan to do it in the future.
From any angle you look at it, New York is a beautiful city. Today we want to show it to you from a slightly different perspective - from the air. Vincent Laforet, a master of photography whose work I admire greatly, has recently published a set of aerial images of the Big Apple.
The photographs remind me of isometric drawings that architects are taught to do at school. Or, maybe even more so, they bring the best-selling game franchise SimCity to mind.
By combining an interesting perspective, top-tier camera gear that allowed him to take photos at high altitude, and some software modifications, the photographer managed to capture some of the most amazing pictures of New York I've ever seen. Check them out below and feast your eyes.
