I could think of a couple of more practical uses for the aging Apple Power Mac G5, but Klaus Geiger's idea to turn it into furniture is very interesting. The designer come up with a bunch of concepts in which we can see the computers being used as benches, desks, bookstands, and cabinets.
Somehow, the old devices actually bode well with wood and glass, giving the furniture a slightly modernist look. In Geiger's vision, the computers lack the internals obviously, leaving only the anodized aluminium cases that should be strong enough to carry the weight of two or three people.
It goes without saying that the Apple Power Mac G5 features a gorgeous design, but apparently it is also very versatile. Check out the gallery below for images of truly one-of-kind Apple-style furniture.
