4a Architekten completed the House N, a residential project in Moscow, Russia. The downstairs uses high quality wood as flooring and a simple white on all walls. Large windows allow for lots of natural light to flow in.
A curly staircase lead to the upper floor, which contain media rooms and bathrooms with stone floors. The bathrooms also contain brick walls–a nice change of materials from the rest of the house. Recessed canopy lights prove plenty of lighting while large windows on the top floor also provide natural light during the day. An elevator allows for quick access to other floors.
The downstairs kitchen uses wood as the main material for cabinetry, while the designers used granite for the countertops. The dining table is made of natural wood, an interesting use of materials compared to the flooring of the house.
