The apartment on the fashionable Frantsuzsky Boulevard in Odessa, Ukraine, brings modesty and coziness in an undeniably modern package.
Designed by Denis Svirid in response to rapidly rising costs of properties and cluttered, unattractive interiors, the apartment is small, yet gorgeous. At first, it looks like a mountain cabin. It sports a natural and welcoming look generated by wood-covered walls and flooring. Furniture and accessories are made to remind of stones - they're in one of a number shades of gray. Similarly coloured bathroom boasts a minimal decor with an interesting pattern on the wall. Thanks to simplicity and elegance of the design, the apartment feels modest and private, like a true personal space.
Despite being small, the apartment has two floors. Private quarters, bedroom, bathroom, and a dressing room are located below the mansard roof. Above, there are white-painted living chambers with dark-hued furniture and subtle lighting system. The upper floor is what makes the apartment feel modern and with the wooden ground floor, it creates an interesting and rare combination.
