The World’s Longest House – In Khao Yai, Thailand

This lengthy house by Shinichi Ogawa & Associates is currently the world’s longest house on record. The project was completed in 2012, and spans a total of around 1,614 feet in length. The house is mainly tile and wood, with windows that span the 20 foot (6 meter) gap between the ceiling and the floor. It seems the designers took a few design cues from SAOTA by adding sliding walls that open to the gorgeous view of the Khao Yai forest. To top it all off, there is a forty-foot pool in the front of the house; which is actually pretty big for a personal pool. The inspiration behind making the longest house in the world, was to help the residents admire the seascape and mountain scenery at the same time.
