Time lapse and motion control equipment for cameras can be very expensive and very bulky. Also equipment like this can take a while to setup and you'll need to read through the manual on how to use it properly to get the best effect.
Astro is a device which changes the game. It's a very small device which enables you to have a time lapse and motion control device all-in-one.
Any camera which has a remote feature can be used with Astro. It sits in-between your camera and a tripod. Then there are three rings which enable you to adjust the settings. The top ring being how long you want it to go on for, middle ring for how much degrees the camera should turn and the bottom ring for the intervals at which it should take pictures.
It can enable you take absolutely fantastic time-lapse shots or very wide panoramic pictures.
It's made specifically to be very small and very portable. Just so you can chuck it in any bag with ease. It's powered by 2 AA batteries and can take a maximum weight of 5KG. The thing itself only weighs 250g.
An Android and iPhone app is also being worked on to get more use out of it and give you wireless controls. This could be massively helpful and could enable you to adjust settings while it's taking pictures but not having to move the camera around.
