If you didn't know already, Sony bought out Ericsson and are now branding all their future phones with just the name Sony. The Xperia S is the first Sony phone and they want to come in with a bang.
This beast of a phone was just announced and features Android 2.3, 4.3-inch screen with a resolution of 1280x720 (yes an actual HD screen), a front facing 720p HD camera and a rear facing 12-megapixel camera with full 1080p HD recording, 1.5Ghz dual-core processor, 32GB built-in storage, NFC. It also has a feature which Sony are plainly naming "Fastest Capture" which enables you to take a picture in just 1.5 seconds directly from the phone being in sleep. I love how Sony are keeping with dedicated shutter buttons, it's a real shame other manufacturers don't do the same.
Sony have proved that you can make a phone which looks different from the iPhone but at the same time looks fantastic.
