Steve Kondik, head and founder of CyanogenMod, has just announced he has been hired by Samsung.
CyanogenMod is a hugely popular ROM in the Andorid community and Kondik did some great work with the project. The ROM had very few changes to the user interface but allowed users to optimise every aspect of their device with and incredibly fully-featured settings application.
Samsung's current software for Android- TouchWiz- is already very customised. It is ahead of many of its competitors and with Steve Kondik on the team, I can only imagine it improving greatly from now on.
Kondik sent a message to Android and Me stating he will be "working on making Android more awesome". I wish him all the best in the future and cannot wait to see what he and Samsung create.
