CharlieFire stations are serious places, but that doesn’t mean they all have to be ugly. The one below recently went viral on Reddit after being compared to a villains hideout, and it’s not hard to see why.
Based in Margreid, Italy, the sleek fire station is built into the side of a cliff to save as much land as possible on the Alpine landscape. Bergmeisterwolf, an Italian architecture firm were able to drill three huge holes in the cliffside to create two garages and an admin area, all inter-connecting, and all within the cliff – an ingenious idea in itself, with the minimalist interior and matte black exterior just adding extra props.
