This is How Photorealistic Video Game Engines Are Now

At this year’s Game Developers Conference in San Francisco, a short film by Quixel was revealed to the world showing the power of the Unreal Engine and the future of gaming. 

The photorealistic world was captured by scanning thousands of real-world objects and textures found in the natural environment.
