Steve Jobs first introduced the iMac in 1998, revealing that the “i” stood for Internet. At that point, the Internet was just becoming mainstream and people were exploring the new world of possibilities that came with it.
However, this wasn’t the end of the meaning of the “i”. Steve Jobs said that the “i” also stands for “information, individual, instruct, inform, and inspire”, when he first introduced the iMac.
