Font Cheat Sheet Gives You Free Alternatives To Popular Typefaces

Design education platform The Futur recently shared a graphic on Twitter that shows a list of pricey commercial typefaces paired with free alternatives that resemble them.

Several of the complementary versions can be found on Google Fonts, such as ‘Montserrat’, which can sub in for ‘Avenir’, and ‘Ultra’, a bold slab typeface similar to ‘Clarendon’.

So if you're in the creative industry, but don't fancy shelling out for pricey fonts, you may want to give some of these ones a go.
