World Cup kits are often a big talking point of the world's most-watched sports tournament. But rarely are the fonts on the back of the kits as talked about as much as they are this year.
Adidas has chosen a square style typeface inspired by Cyrillic alphabets, where the sharp 90-degree angles are proving to be incredibly confusing.
This was sparked off by a photo of Julian Draxler’s football jersey putting the spotlight on the unique font by @sportsfonts_com:
