Stunning ‘Paintings’ Developed Entirely With HTML & CSS

Everyone knows there’s a lot you can accomplish with a bit of HTML and CSS, but rarely do you see something as creative as what developer Diana Smith has done.

She’s created a selection of ‘paintings’ that would be impressive enough if she did them by hand, but no, Diana hand-coded them entirely using HTML and CSS.

Before setting out to complete the project, she set herself some rules, firstly, every element had to be typed by hand. ‘Atom’ text editor was her canvas, and Chrome developer tools were her art materials – because of this, if they’re viewed in anything over than Google Chrome, they tend to look a bit wonky.
