People Are Only Just Realizing Why ‘Black Mirror’ Is Called ‘Black Mirror’

Black Mirror has gained a lot of fans over the past couple of years, and with the 4th season being fairly new to Netflix, you may be surprised to hear that the origin behind the name 'Black Mirror' is still unknown to quite a few people.

For those that don't know, the term 'Black Mirror' refers to the reflective black screen you see when your phone, monitor, TV, etc is not in use.

The show’s creator, Charlie Brooker, confirmed the meaning behind the title to The Guardian back in 2014. He said, “any TV, any LCD, any iPhone, any iPad—something like that—if you just stare at it, it looks like a black mirror, and there’s something cold and horrifying about that, and it was such a fitting title for the show.”
