Fly Around The World With This Hyperlapse Made From 3000 Google Maps Screenshots

Publish date:

Matteo Archondis created a trip around the world using just Google Maps screenshots and turning them into a hyperlapse video. With over 3300 screenshots used, he takes us to places such as Venice, London, New York, and Iceland.

After spending two days capturing all the screenshots, Matteo then had to track and stabilize each frame to create the illusion of a timelapse video. An entire week was spent on assembling all the screenshots and smoothing them out, and we couldn't be more grateful. Awesome video.
