When old furniture is broken, you generally have two options: you can either throw it away, or you can try and restore the look of it. Tatiane Freitas tries a different approach, she restores old furniture using translucent acrylic and the results are pretty cool. The ongoing series titled "My Old New Chair" is similar to the Japanese art of kintsugi (the art of repairing broken pottery with various materials, including gold, silver, or platinum).
