The wildfires that hit parts of California last year were terrifying to say the least, the way they spread so easily across forests, mountains, fields, and entire neighbourhoods must have been awful for anyone involved. For the last few years, Los Angeles-based photographer Stuart Palley has been shooting these fires as they sweep across Cali as part of a series he calls Terra Flamma. His long exposure-based photos are genuinely awe-inspiring to look at, he captures trails of sparks, the lights of aircrafts and even stars, to bring stunning beauty to what is in reality, an awful situation.
