Apple have just announced the second generation of the Apple watch at their event in San Fransisco. As far as second generations go, it wasn't the most overwhelming of announcements, however there are some pretty neat updates.
The Apple Watch Series 2 is now water resistant to up to 50 metres which will allow users to "wear their watch with confidence in the water". It's brighter and thinner than the original and comes with its own built-in GPS, allowing wearers to get more accurate pace and distance metrics during runs.
The new Apple Watch will come with the Apple S2 dual-core processor and an upgraded GPU capable of loading applications up to 50 percent faster than the chip found in the Apple Watch and delivers a longer battery life as it uses less power when processing data.
