These Minimal Watches By MINUS-8 Are As Classy As It Gets - UltraLinx

MINUS-8 is a San Francisco-based watch brand putting a spin on classic designs. Designed by ASTRO Studio, the same guys behind the Xbox 360 and Nike FuelBand. MINUS-8 takes its name for the West Coast time zone, GMT-8.

The MINUS-8 watches do a superb job of not conforming to the usual design of watches nowadays, yet create a design so classy and elegant with a futurist mindset that you'd be proud to wear it on your wrist. Subtly bold, yet perfectly minimalistic.

Layer - the cornerstone of MINUS-8's collection represents the industrial aesthetic of MINUS-8. Layer is the result of a vision to build a watch of individually layered strats. A beautifully constructed watch that will turn heads when spotted. This process took MINUS-8 over a year to develop and resulted in a striking watch that communicates luxury and precision. The result is a stadium effect of 6 layers of 316L bonded steel flowing from the exterior to the interior of the watch uninterrupted in one unified gesture.

The Layer features a Japanese movement, 45 mm diameter, 316 L stainless Steel case, a PVD-coated stainless steel finish, 3-hand date window, 40+ hours of power reserve and a vegetable tanned leather band.

From what we've seen of the Layer, we really can't fault it at all, minimal, elegant, sophisticated, and durable. Everything you want from a watch.
