If you've got a 16GB iPhone like me, you'll know that running out of storage is a constant battle. There are certain tricks you can do to help you out slightly, but Reddit user eavesdroppingyou has come up with a brilliant way to easily save space when storage is running low.
Here's what he wrote:
Just go to iTunes and search for a movie (with a bigger file size than what you have left on storage), click rent and soon you'll get the message saying you don't have enough storage and offers you to go to settings. Click that and magically you will get some storage back (probably it erases some useless data from different apps to try to download the movie). Repeat the process 4-5 times and before you know it you recovered 1 to almost 2 Gb.
I tried it multiple times and went from 1.1GB to 4.5GB. The trick seems to be that the longer you leave it on this screen...
.. the more files get deleted. Definitely a trick worth knowing. Give it a share if it worked for you, and let us know how much storage it saved.
If you're struggling to find a movie that's more GB than what you have left on your device, War and Peace (1956) is 8.86GB.
