I've recently finished the first season of Mr Robot, and it certainly deserves all the excellent reviews it's getting. It's not like many other shows, though, not just because of its twisting storyline but because it certainly doesn't play by the rules when it comes to composition.
Mr Robot lives on the edges and in the corners of your screen. Rarely are subjects centered, and when they are, there's good reason for it. This short video by Semih Okmn demonstrates how you can destroy the rules of composition, and still come out with a TV show that looks brilliant.
