This Tokyo-based house by YUUA Architects measures just 1.8 meters (about 6 foot) wide, which is a feat by itself, but when you factor in just how livable the interiors seem to be, then you'll realise what a truly great house it is.
You're not exactly going to be running marathons inside it, but for its size it seems like it could be adequate. The steel-frame house has a glazed facade, so light abounds inside and helps make the narrow living room, combined kitchen-dining room and sleeping area feel more spacious than they are, despite gorgeous dark walls and wide-plank timber floors.
