FontReach is an online tool that lets you find out what are the most widely used fonts on the internet. Made by Jesse Chase and Jason Chen, FontReach lets you track websites and their font usage to show you the most popular fonts on the internet.
You can find out how many websites use Helvetica or Arial on their platform. Searching for Comic Sans brings up a few surprising results.
From the outside it doesn't really look like it's all that useful at the moment, but if you think about it - FontReach can help you decide what font combinations to use by taking inspiration from some of the biggest sites in the world. Chase and Chen hopes that the site will help designers “make more informed font decisions” by following “font usage trends on the web”.
