Apple have just announced the all new iPad Pro at their annual keynote speech in San Fransisco.
The new iPad measures a rather large 12.9 inches, so big in fact the width of the iPad Pro is the same as the height of the iPad Air, so you can run iPad Air apps with additional space to the side.
It comes packed with 5.6m pixels - more than a retina MacBook Pro - with a 2,732 x 2,048 display. It comes in silver, gold, and space grey, and will also hold an 8MP iSight camera.
Powering the iPad Pro is Apple's latest A9X chip. Which is an upgrade over the iPad Air 2's A8X in every way, with double the memory bandwidth and graphics performance. Apple hasn't said how much RAM it has, so the chances are it's got the same as the 2GB Air 2.
Despite the larger display and increased power, the new iPad will apparently run for 10 hours on a charge.
Apple also told us that for the first time ever an iPad will come equipped with a 4 speaker sound system.
Finally, Apple announced an optional Smart Keyboard cover along with the iPad Pro. The Smart Keyboard uses key domes that Apple first developed for the new MacBook announced earlier this year and connects to the iPad Pro using a new connector type — the Smart Connector — which means that it's not connecting over Bluetooth.
The iPad pricing will start at $799 for 32GB. $949 for 128GB, and $1079 for the 128GB WiFi + LTE, and will be released in November.
