I strive for minimalism in most aspects of life, apps and games are certainly no exception to the rule. The satisfaction of playing a game that's not only simple in design, but also in the way it plays, is like no other.
These five games, who are all from the Ketchapp Games (the same guys who made the hugely popular game '2048'), are the epitome of minimalism in mobile gaming. Each one is unique in its play-style and its design, but most importantly of all, they're all genuinely a lot of fun.
Bounce the ball by tapping the screen and avoid touching the spikes. Collect the floating power ups to change the game's colours.
Stay on the wall while doing as many zigzags as you can. Tap the screen to change the direction of the ball while not falling off the edges.
Circle is 'Don't Buzz The Wire' meets Flappy Bird, and it's crazy addictive. That description alone should make you want to download this immediately.
If there's one game on this list with serious reply-value, it's this one. Amazing Ninja is simply but oh so addictive, tap left to save the blue ninjas, tap right to kill the red ninjas. Get used to saying "Okay, one more go".
Very easily to hardest game on this list, which is infuriating considering how simple it is. Avoid the squares, collect the circles, easy right? Not when your controlling 2 cars.
If you can think of any other minimal games that you'd like to share with us, let us know in the comments below.
