Android 5.0 Lollipop ships with a bunch of cool new wallpapers, some of which are inspired by from-the-air photography. And while they may not appeal to everybody, they most definitely could have inspired Brazil-based artist João Paulo Bernardes to turn his collection of aerial pictures into a series of great backgrounds that you can use on your iPhone 6 Plus or any other high-resolution smartphone.
Photographs show the face of Earth as seen for a helicopter. Cities, field crops, rivers, and mountains look very different from the distance. They create beautiful patterns, which we are not aware of since we always look at our surroundings from the same angle. Through their unusual perspective, intriguing complexity, and wonderful colour palette, the photographs will add a new level of depth to your device's home screen.
Below you will find a selection of photographs that we enjoyed the most. If you'd like to see more, head over to Bernardes' website or download all backgrounds at once by following this link.
Images come from NASA, Airbus, and other opens-source collection, so feel free to use them as you see fit. Enjoy!
