The art of paper folding is very old, but every now and then we see someone take it to a whole new level. One such person is Colombia-based artist Diana Beltran Herrera who has been working over the years with paper, creating incredibly realistic sculptures of birds.
It is hard to believe that she did not use any materials other than paper. Her sculptures look very real, with every single element of the birds' bodies, feathers, beaks, claws, and even eyes being cut and folded with great attention to detail and precision. We also love how the models feel alive, as if we could reach out and touch and expect them to flap their wings and fly away.
