Traditional keyboards are passé. Engineers are working to replace them with something new and more innovative. They have plenty of great ideas, one of is the AirType - a keyboard that fits in the palm of your hand.
AirType does not look like a keyboard at all. Instead of keys, it uses technology-packed bands that you can slide over your palms. Each band houses a set of motion sensors that allow it to pick up on all your finger movements. With AirType, you can start typing on any surface (or even in the air) and built-in text prediction software makes sure that you will never have to apologize for spelling mistakes again.
The keyboard is currently in an early prototype stage, but we're expecting it to be available on the market by the end of the year. It's one of the coolest gadgets we've seen so far and we can't wait to get our fingers on it.
