There are hundreds of different brands out there for all sorts of products in all sorts of markets. The most interesting thing about many of the products we buy is that they're usually owned by one massive cooperation.
The assumption is that if one company owns all these brands it means you're being illuded for choice. But actually all these brands are their own entities and compete against each other which benefits us as the consumer, because usually the prices are kept very low. Some brands even sell at cost price just to keep market share.
