Microsoft seems to be following in the footsteps of Sony by removing the requirement of Xbox Live to use internet services on the Xbox One.
The PS4 has allowed anyone to use just about any feature except online gameplay without a PS Plus membership. The Xbox One will now let you do just about the same.
Users will be able to use apps such as Netflix, Internet Explorer, Machinima and many others without an Xbox Live membership.
All of this will come in the form of an update on the 9th of June.
It's great to see Microsoft at last catch up with competitors. It should have really been standard since release.
