The A7S by Sony is a new full-frame camera designed by professionals for professionals. It comes with cutting-edge technology that delivers excellent performance and imaging possibilities.
There are two things that make the A7S stand out. Both are related to innovative solutions Sony has packed inside the camera's elegant and lightweight body. First of all, the A7S is capable of recording video at 4K. It is not a pioneer in this matter, but thanks to a super sensitive sensor, it offers a vast ISO range of 50 to 409,600, which translates directly into great low-light performance. Speaking of 4K, it is essential to note that the device itself can record 1080p and to capture 4K resolution, you will need a separate recorder.
The sensor is linked to its second unique feature. The A7S is the world's first full-frame camera that allows for full pixel read-out for recordings and 4K video output. During the process, no pixels are binned which results in real-life image quality and sharpness.
Sony's A7S comes also with a 25-point Fast Intelligent AF system, a BIONZ X processor, an XGA OLED Tru-Finder viewfinder, a 3-inch 921k-dot TFT adjustable display, NFC, and wireless connectivity. It is not known how much it will cost, but we assume we will find out soon enough as the camera is scheduled to go on sale this summer.
