It requires serious skills for a designer to create a monochromatic interior that will not appear monotonous and dull. Thus, many do not want take the risk and prefer to settle for a good-looking contrast of two colours or a set of cheerful accents that introduce light and liven up the inside. But Vladimir Malashonok, a talented designer from Russia, decided to take up the challenge and rely primarily on white in the creation process of an apartment in Moscow.
The result of his work is simply gorgeous. Thanks to subtle dark-wood additions such as ceiling covering, flooring, doors, and kitchen furniture, the designer managed to highlight and compliment the purity and elegance of white, which is the colour of panels on the suspended ceiling, furniture, floor, and various accessories.
Overally, the apartment has a minimal and dramatic look and bold shapes of some structure elements and sculptures make it one of the greatest examples of contemporary interior design we have ever seen. Particularly noticeable are subtle accents in the form of pillows and coverlets that feature the aforementioned marriage of earthy brown and white.
