Pearson Design, a group of architects from the United States, created this great mountain house that combines a charming, rustic look with modernity and elegance you'd expect to see in a luxurious residence.
Designers took inspiration from the surroundings. As the house was built on the hillside, it was important to take advantage of the landscape and integrate as much of its natural elements a possible. As a result, the house - apart from breathtaking views offered through large windows and open terraces - features a very unique style.
The main structure of most elements of the furnishing was made of massive wood pieces, but the inner parts are soft and very comfortable. Natural furs and leathers compliment and balance out their raw harshness.
Architects used polished concrete and marble for other design elements. If it wasn't for modern appliances and fancy chairs, one could think the house is a hunter's shed. In reality it is a beautifully designed space that provokes senses and keeps the residents in close contact with nature. When I close my eyes, I actually can see myself sinking deep into one of those fur-covered armchairs.
