The newly announced Sony A5000 is another addition to the very small but also interchangeable lens camera market. Weighing less than 230 grams, the device offers a surprising amount of imaging power for its size.
Sony A5000 is equipped with a large 20.1 megapixel APS-C sized sensor paired with a new-generation BIONZ® X processor – the same that can be found inside flagship Sony A7 and A7R full-frame cameras. The internals deliver high-quality still images and full HD videos in all types of shooting conditions. In addition to great detail reproduction and noise reduction, the camera’s processor allows for low light photography (up to ISO 16000).
As fas as other features are concerned, the new Sony A5000 comes with built-in Wi-Fi connectivity and NFC for easy picture transferring and sharing as well as using a smartphone or tablet to control camera’s shutter from the distance. The Sony A5000 features also a comfortable grip and a tiltable LCD screen that can flip upwards up to 180 degrees. Its software was enhanced with tight integration with Sony’s cloud services and a number of shooting modes and image filters.
The Sony A5000 interchangeable lens digital camera is available to pre-order now from the company’s website for £419.
