If you're someone like me who runs a number of different websites and social media profiles, IFTTT will be a game changer for you.
IFTTT which stands for 'If That Then This' allows you to automate a multitude of tasks which you may have otherwise had to do manually or using a number of different services.
IFTTT puts the internet to work for you. The way the service works is by using what they call "Recipes". A recipe is a combination of a trigger and an action from channels you choose. For example - if you were to publish a new post on your WordPress site, you can create recipes to share that post across your social profiles such as Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, Pinterest or many other sites. You can choose from a number of already popular recipes or even make your own.
What you can do is only limited by how much API access other sites give to IFTTT. But many such as Twitter, Facebook and Tumblr are very open and there is a number of recipes you can make.
The only limitation with IFTTT is that it is not instant. It calls a recipe every 15 minutes. It is bringing premium plans soon and hopefully one of the options is to have instant recipe actions.
