Amazon have announced Prime Air. This service by Amazon aims to bring goods to your door with flying autonomous drones in less than 30 minutes. It's an ambitious idea when it comes to using drones and a very ambitious aim in delivering your goods within 30 minutes.
The one thing that holds e-commerce back is of course deliveries. When you order something, you usually have to wait till the next day. If you need something today, you're better off just going down to your local stores and buying it.
Jeff Bezos wants to bring Prime Air to market in around four or five years, which he even says himself is an optimistic target.
