Ever since it launch, Paper has become the go to app for those who love to draw on their iPads - whether they be experts or those who just love to doodle.
Today FiftyThree, the creators of Paper, have announced their very own stylus for the app. They're calling it Pencil and it is the perfect companion to Paper.
FiftyThree realised they had to create the perfect stylus for their Paper app to make the experience of drawing and painting even better. Pencil isn't just like any other stylus, it brings some additional features to the Paper app.
Pencil connects to the iPad via BLE (Bluetooth Low Energy) and can last around a month on just one charge. It connects to your iPad by simply holding it down on the screen for a few seconds and it's paired - no having to go into settings or mess with any pass codes.
With the bluetooth functionality, Paper recognises Pencil. It brings three new features.
Palm rejection is the first. When using Pencil, you can rest your palm on the screen and not have to worry about it drawing stuff. It'll only react to touches from Pencil.
Erase is the second. At the top of Pencil is an eraser, when using it Paper will instantly recognise it and automatically switch to eraser mode. Making it a much quicker process.
Blend is the third. While keeping Pencil close, you can use your finger to blend colours in, instead of using Pencil.
Pencil will come in either walnut or graphite, costing $59.95 and $49.95 respectively. These are introductory prices for now so it's a good idea to buy one before the prices goes up.
Unfortunately it's only available in the US and Canada for now. No word on when it'll comes to other countries.
