Flipboard is a unique news reader app for smartphones, tablet and computers. Since launching in 2010, it has been downloaded to around 90 million devices. Flipboard allows users to create their own digital magazines collecting information only from the sources they’re interested in. Moreover, with a newly introduced feature, they can also make their very own e-commerce catalogs containing wish and shopping lists.
Until now, Fliboard wasn’t available on Windows 8. An official client was released today to the Windows Store and warmly welcomed by users. It was designed to match Microsoft’s operating system look and feel and has a Live Tile that displays quick summary information directly on the homescreen. Additionally, the app was built upon a variety of gestures. Swipes and taps can be used to navigate through the interface and support for Windows 8’s split-screen Snap View enables productive multitasking.
Flipboard can be downloaded for free from the Windows Store.
