Beats Electronics has announced an update to its Pill line of portable speakers. Two new devices have joined the family - the new Pill and the Pill XL. The first is basically a re-engineered version of the basic Pill speaker that was launched last year, however it was enchanced with support for NFC technology for easy pairing with smartphones and tablets. The Pill XL is a 33 centimeter-long speaker with more powerful driver. Just like the new Pill, the Pill XL can stream music wirelessly via NFC.
Thanks to NFC, you can pair the new Pill and Pill XL speakers not only with mobile devices, but also with each other. A single tap is enough to make them sync the sound and start playing music together. It's a feature that will come in handy if you want to put the speakers in separate rooms and listen to your favourite tunes while walking around the house. When paired, the new Pill automatically divide the workload creating a stunning stereo experience.
