Earlier this morning, during a special event that held place in Abu Dhabi, Nokia has announced a bunch of new devices. Aside from thre new budget Asha cell phones and two 6-inchers, a 10-inch Lumia 2520 tablet was unveiled. The slate is the first attempt by Nokia to step into the tablet market. It's packing a 10,1-inch, 1920 x 1080 display covered by Gorilla Glass 2, a quad-core Snapdragon 800 CPU clocked at 2.2 GHz, a 8,000 mAh battery and a 6.7-megapixel rear shooter with Carl Zeiss optics. The device is running Windows RT 8.1 enhanced with a number of software improvements. Storyteller app and Microsoft Office suite are also on board.
It will be available in four colours: red, white, cyan and black. While the finish on the first two is glossy, the rest will sport a matte paintjob. As far accessories, the device will come with an optional Nokia Power Keyboard packed with an extra battery and two USB ports. Both the tablet and the keyboard will land on the store shelves by the end of this year.
