Heads up displays in cars are nothing new, some of the most modern cars are already using them because they allow you to look at the road and follow instructions in a more safer manner. But what about those that don't have it in their own car, there was no great solution till now.
The Garmin Head-Up Display is a little device which sits on your dashboard and projects information onto a reflective screen that you stick to your windscreen. You send data to it via the Garmin Streetpilot or NAVIGON apps. It can display directions, speed, traffic, camera alerts and even help you get into the right lane.
It would be fantastic to see something like this work with Google Maps, arguably the best maps application available.
