Apple has just announced a new updated version of the Macbook Air. Updating battery life, processing power and a whole host of other things.
The 2013 generation will now have longer battery life on both the 11-inch and 13-inch models. The 11-inch will come with a 9 hour battery life and the 13-inch will come with a 12 hour battery life. Very significant improvements compared to 5 hours and 7 hours respectively.
The new battery life is due to the new Intel Haswell processors. These processors are just as powerful as the previous generation but they don’t need as much electricity.
The starting price for both the 11-inch and 13-inch is now cheaper at £849 and £949 respectively.
Other than that the ultrabooks are unchanged. Many were expecting to see retina displays but it looks like Apple is saving them for their Pro line of laptops.
