If you're a power user when it comes to email on the Mac, you probably have the Sparrow mail app. Unfortunately ever since Sparrow was acquired by Google last year, it's become a dying app, with it last being updated all the way back in October 2012. But there is now an even better and more powerful mail app available for the Mac and it's dirt cheap - Airmail.
Airmail is a super powerful and very well designed mail app made specially for Mac. It has nearly every feature you could think of when it comes to mail apps - and what if it doesn't have a feature you're looking for, you can request it of course. They have a dedicated feedback site that has been made to make the app the best it can be.
There is a whole bunch of features that you're better off going over to the Airmail site to read all about them. But here are my favourite features:
- Dropbox support for attachments
- Notifications per account so you can set notifications for the most important accounts
- Very neat conversation style view
- Multiple theme tweaks to help you find a style which suits you
- Contact support with Gmail accounts
- Folders and labels sync
The best thing about this app is that it's only £1.49 which is very cheap when it comes to Mac apps. This is the must have mail app on the Mac. I myself have switched to it from Sparrow and don't miss anything.
