Ridiculous Fishing is one of the top games in the iOS app store right now, and after a few minutes of playing you'll easily realise why. Designed in a very 8-bit like style with very flat graphics and retro sounds, it has a unique touch which most games can't pull off, but it's very well done here.
The idea is you try and get your fishing line as far down in the water you can, avoiding any fish in the way. When you've hit a fish the line will then start coming back up, on your way up you try and catch as many fish as you can. Once you're at the top they're flung into the air and you have to just obliterate them by shooting them. Very random, but I guess that's why it's called Ridiculous Fishing.
You gain cash for shooting the fish, as you gain more and more cash you can upgrade things like your fishing reel and gun. You can also buy other stuff like lures, tech and other miscellaneous objects to help you catch even more fish.
After a few minutes of playing you can easily see why it's addictive, it's a whole bag of fun. There's something truly satisfying about shooting fish.
