Car companies are frantic about being the first ones to get automatic self-driving cars out there to the world. Unfortunately there is a lot more work to be done, not just to the cars, but to the road systems which each country uses and how they're adapted for humans.
Audi has come up with something which is a step closer to self-driving cars and that's the ability to leave your car to park itself, and then come and pick you up when you need it.
At CES they showed off their latest tech which has been combined with their beautiful A7 model. The 4 minute video shows how the car is operated by an iPhone and parks itself. It's all pretty neat, though I'd still be scared it'll crash.
Also there are a number of problems which it may face. Such as car parks which require you to go and buy a ticket and display it in the car. And who wants you to hold them up while you're faffing around on your iPhone, holding everyone up, because you're trying to park your car.
At least this kind of technology is happening and it's being applied. Self-driving cars are definitely the future.
