Metropole Architects constructed this luxury home in Zimbali using raw materials such as natural timber, concrete and natural stone cladding . Koi ponds and rimflow swimming pools played big parts during construction of the house because the surrounding forest and the water work together. The architects wanted the pools and the ponds to join as one and flow through certain rooms into the forest. The slabs used to create the roof correspond to the shape of the rooms below, to create a sense of grandeur and protect the rooms from harsh weather. The master bedroom has an extremely comfortable bed with a panoramic view and bamboo walls. The small canopy lights give every room an inviting feel without protruding out of the ceiling, making the rooms seem bigger than they actually are.
